Russian Air Strikes Hit Kyiv Region: 3 Killed, Including a Child, in Brovary
Russian forces have launched a fresh wave of aerial strikes against Ukraine’s Kyiv region, killing at least three people—including a child—and injuring three others. The attack targeted multiple locations in the town of Brovary, located just east of the capital.
Tactical Targets and Structural Damage
According to Tymur Tkachenko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Russian strikes hit three separate locations within the Brovary area. The bombardment caused extensive damage to residential properties, outbuildings, and vehicles, while also igniting a significant fire in a commercial facility.
“Three people lost their lives, including a child. Three others, including another child, sustained injuries,” Tkachenko confirmed, adding that emergency services were immediately deployed to extinguish the fires and clear the rubble.
Civilian Impact and Air Defense Pressures
Local authorities condemned the strike, highlighting the continued targeting of civilian areas surrounding the capital.
“Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population,” Tkachenko stated following the assault. “Our immediate duty is to eliminate the consequences of this attack without delay, assist the victims, and ensure the safety of our citizens.”
The strikes on Brovary underscore the persistent aerial threat facing the Kyiv region as Russian forces continue to deploy mixed salvos of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and loitering munitions. The strike serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing operational pressure on Ukraine’s air defense architecture guarding the capital’s peripheral infrastructure and residential zones.
