CTECH AquaARX Aboard DEARSAN SALVO at TURNAs 2026

TUSAŞ affiliate CTECH said its AquaARX Satellite Communication Terminal operates on DEARSAN’s SALVO unmanned surface vehicles and was used on the SALVO taking an active part in the TURNAs 2026 Unmanned Maritime Systems Exercise. The information comes from CTECH’s own post.
What AquaARX Gives SALVO
According to CTECH, AquaARX gives SALVO secure and uninterrupted satellite communications on a global scale. The company highlights two capabilities: command and control from thousands of kilometres away, and transmission of live video and mission data to the ground control centre.
Why It Matters
Once an unmanned surface vehicle goes beyond line of sight, a radio link is not enough; the link between vehicle and operator has to run via satellite. With such a terminal the operator can control the vessel far from shore and watch its video live. CTECH said the capability was shown again in the field at TURNAs 2026.
Terminal and Antenna
The shared image shows AquaARX consisting of two parts, a modem and an antenna; the antenna sits inside the dome on SALVO’s deck.
