Turkish Defense Firm HAVELSAN Secures NATO Certification for Four Advanced C2 Systems at CWIX 2026

HAVELSAN, a leading Turkish defense technology company, has successfully validated four of its advanced software capabilities at NATO’s Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exploration, Experimentation, Examination Exercise (CWIX) held in Poland. The successful testing formally integrates these systems into the NATO certification process, ensuring seamless command and control (C2) interoperability among allied forces.

As modern warfare increasingly relies on digital integration and rapid data sharing, multinational interoperability has become the top priority for the NATO alliance. Demonstrating its expanding footprint in this domain, HAVELSAN announced that four of its newly developed capabilities—DOOB-HQ, KAPI, Embedded NONC2 ATA DLP, and LYNX—have successfully completed the rigorous Assurance Verification and Validation (AV&V) tests during CWIX 2026.

These capabilities underwent specialized testing to officially confirm their compliance with the NATO Federated Mission Networking (FMN) framework. Achieving FMN Spiral 4 certification at CWIX is a critical milestone, as it stands as a fundamental prerequisite for participating in joint NATO operations planned for the 2025–2027 timeframe.

A Massive Footprint at CWIX 2026

Held in Poland from June 6 to June 26, 2026, the CWIX exercise is NATO’s premier interoperability event, bringing together 46 nations—including NATO and EU members—testing 780 systems with over 3,000 military and civilian personnel.

HAVELSAN actively participated with a robust delegation of 43 personnel and fielded 16 different defense systems across 20 focus areas. The company operated across a wide spectrum of domains, including Maritime, Air, Cyber, Modeling & Simulation (M&S), and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear).

Significantly, the 2026 iteration marked HAVELSAN’s debut in several critical focus areas. The company showcased LYNX and Embedded NONC2 ATA DLP in the Air Focus Area, ADVENT TALAY/REI in GEOMETOC, KAPI in the FMN Core Capabilities, ICS SENTINEL in Cyber, and the FIVE system in Modeling and Simulation.

AI-Driven Command and Control on the Horizon

HAVELSAN has been a consistent participant in CWIX since 2012, continuously expanding its portfolio of NATO-certified solutions in tactical communications, secure data sharing, and system integration.

Commenting on the successful certification of the indigenous software solutions, HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar emphasized that the results are a concrete indicator of the company meeting the highest international interoperability standards.
