EDGE holds majority or partial stakes in foreign firms. It bought a majority of Milrem Robotics in February 2023, and its 2024 anniversary material lists Switzerland’s ANAVIA and two Brazilian companies, Condor and SIATT, among its partners and subsidiaries (Aletihad).
What Are EDGE Group’s Main Products and Subsidiaries?
| Unit or product | Cluster or type | Notes |

The Hunter 2-S was part of a Halcon agreement worth AED 1.1 billion (about US$300 million) signed in February 2023 to supply Hunter 2-S, Hunter 5 and Hunter 10 loitering munitions to the UAE Armed Forces, according to Army Technology. Halcon’s Desert Sting missile contract, worth US$1 billion, dates from 2019 (Wikipedia).
How Many Employees Does EDGE Group Have?
EDGE reported 17,900 employees from 95 countries in November 2025. Earlier company figures were 14,100 employees representing 95 nationalities in September 2024, of whom 23.5% were UAE nationals (Aletihad). Wikipedia still lists “12,000+”, an older figure.
EDGE Group Revenue and Financial Results
| Date | Figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | International orders US$18.5 million | Aletihad |
| 2022 | Orders above US$5 billion | Wikipedia |
| September 2024 | Revenue US$4.9 billion; order backlog US$12.8 billion; 2024 international orders above US$2.1 billion | Aletihad |
| 2025 | Revenue about US$4.9 billion; exports about US$3.7 billion (76%); international backlog US$21.1 billion | EDR Magazine (EDGE release) |
Both the 2024 and 2025 statements give roughly US$4.9 billion, so the growth EDGE emphasises is in exports and backlog rather than in the revenue line. At Dubai Airshow 2025, EDGE announced 21 agreements, including a cooperation agreement with Indonesia’s Republikorp that it said will lead to a US$7 billion contract with the Indonesian Armed Forces, its largest international deal (EDR Magazine).
Which Countries Buy From EDGE Group?
EDGE says it is active in more than 100 countries. Named programmes include the following.
| Country | Programme | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Angola | Three BR71 MK II corvettes | EUR 1 billion contract; first ship launched in Cherbourg, second built by ADSB in Abu Dhabi, third by CMN Naval in Cherbourg; six HT-100 NAVAL helicopters delivered in 2026 |
| Indonesia | Republikorp agreement | Company says it will lead to a US$7 billion contract (November 2025) |
| Brazil | Condor and SIATT | Brazilian non-lethal technology and smart weapons firms listed among EDGE partners (2024) |
| Estonia | Milrem Robotics | Majority stake acquired February 2023 |
| South Korea | Hanwha | Term sheet on L-SAM, M-SAM and Chunmoo air defence, September 2026 |
EDGE and Hanwha Air Defence Term Sheet
On 16 September 2026, EDGE and Hanwha Systems signed a term sheet at EDGE headquarters covering the South Korean L-SAM long-range interceptor, additional M-SAM medium-range capacity and the Chunmoo rocket launcher, according to Raksha Anirveda, which reproduced the release. The companies will explore a UAE joint venture, local production and phased localisation, subject to government approvals. No value was disclosed. Our earlier report, UAE Taps South Korea’s Hanwha to Build Layered Air Defense Shield, covers the systems in detail, and the Hanwha Aerospace profile covers the Korean side. The Korea Times reported the same signing.
The UAE already fields US-made systems such as the THAAD and the Patriot, which makes the Korean deal a diversification story. That reading is analysis, not something the companies stated.
