What ASELSAN disclosed

The filing, classed as a new business relationship, describes the counterparty only as an “international customer”. It gives the total value as USD 442.5 million and says the contract covers the sale of radar, counter-UAV, and command and control systems. ASELSAN gave 23 October 2026 as the start date of the relationship and said the contract would have a positive effect on its turnover. Anadolu Agency and Turkish financial outlets reported the filing the same day, citing KAP.

The filing does not name the buyer’s country, the specific systems, quantities or delivery dates, and it says nothing about payment terms or margins. We have not seen any statement from a foreign government identifying itself as the customer, and we are not speculating on who it is.

Why the package matters

Radar, counter-drone sensors and effectors, and command and control software are the three layers usually combined to detect, track and engage small drones and other low-flying threats. Selling them together suggests an integrated air-defence or counter-UAV architecture rather than a single product, although ASELSAN has not described the configuration.

ASELSAN builds radar, electronic warfare and air-defence systems for the Turkish Armed Forces and export customers. Its electronic-warfare line is covered in our guide to Turkey’s electronic warfare systems.

Industry context

Because ASELSAN is listed on Borsa Istanbul, large contracts are disclosed through KAP, which is often the first official record of a Turkish defence export. The deal adds to a busy year for Turkish defence contracts, which we covered in our report on the sector’s 2026 contract total. Contract value is not the same as revenue in a single year: ASELSAN did not say over what period the systems will be delivered.
