A Cummins diesel of about 360 hp drives it at a road speed of about 115 km/h over a range of 800 km. The troop version has ten seats, with a crew of two. Weight is about 14.5 t.

The Turkish Land Forces and Gendarmerie ordered the Vuran, and the Police are also listed as users. It is normally fitted with Aselsan weapon stations. Türkiye is the only operator. The 4×4 MRAP class in Türkiye includes the Cobra II, Kirpi, Vuran and Ejder Yalçın, and the Vuran’s rivals include the Otokar Cobra II, Nurol Ejder Yalçın, FNSS Kaplan, Dingo 2 and Oshkosh M-ATV. A Vuran Amphibious version is also listed, and comparisons such as Vuran vs Cobra II, Kirpi and Kaplan MT are commonly searched.
